Charles Matthew Smith (Chuck)
Chuck is a born and raised resident of Windsor and one of the large Smith family of the Riverside area. He is a graduate of Riverside High School and the University of Windsor Human Kinetics Program. A life-long avid sports enthusiast, Chuck participated in many sports including baseball, basketball and football. Having suffered a sports related injury in his youth requiring rehabilitation, a future career path to physiotherapy was realized. Chuck fulfilled his dream upon graduation from the University of Toronto Physical Therapy Program. Chuck has been licensed to practice in the province of Ontario since 1986 and has also been an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. Initially working as a staff physiotherapist at the former Grace Hospital, Chuck later achieved a professional goal by opening a private practice in 1995. With Chuck’s expertise and guidance, the Smith Physiotherapy Clinic has been providing exemplary physiotherapy services to the residents of the community and continues to attract new clientele through the referral of local physicians, colleagues, and previous patients who tell their friends and family about the friendly, professional and effective care they have received. Chuck has been honoured by the community to receive the Biz X Magazine’s “Physiotherapist With All the Right Moves” award in 2008 and the Windsor Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce “2009 Business Professional of the Year” award. Chuck also serves his community by volunteering his time as a board member of the Windsor-Essex Sports Hall of Fame and as Chair for KidSport™ Windsor.
